Note: this document is a working draft meant as a starting point. It covers the industry-standard sections (booking, payment, cancellation, force majeure, liability toward suppliers, intellectual property and governing law), but before publishing we recommend having a travel-law attorney review it and fill in the details marked in brackets — especially the legal entity name, exact jurisdiction, and the actual cancellation policies of each operator you work with.
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern use of the website meridian33.travel (the "Site") and the booking of travel experiences with Meridian 33° Travel ("Meridian 33°", "we"). By using the Site or requesting a quote, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.
Meridian 33° is a curated travel experience agency. We design and coordinate accessible-luxury itineraries, acting as an intermediary between you and the direct service providers (airlines, hotels, lodges, ground operators and other suppliers at destination). We are not an airline, hotel or transportation operator — we book and coordinate these services on your behalf with independent suppliers.
Any quote shared by Meridian 33° is a proposal subject to availability at the time of confirmation — prices, airfares and accommodation availability may change until the booking is formally confirmed and paid for. A booking is considered firm only once we receive the corresponding deposit or payment and send you written confirmation.
The payment structure (initial deposit, balance and due date) is specified in each individual quote, as it varies by destination, season and supplier policy. All rates are quoted in US dollars (USD) per person, double occupancy, unless stated otherwise. Meridian 33° does not process or store payment card data — payments are made through the payment platform or the relevant operator, subject to their own terms.
Change and cancellation policies depend on each supplier's conditions (airlines, hotels, lodges and ground operators) and are detailed in writing in your quote or itinerary confirmation before you make any payment. In general, the closer to the travel date a change or cancellation is requested, the higher the applicable penalties — some airfares and high-season bookings are non-refundable from the moment of confirmation. We recommend reading your quote's specific conditions carefully and considering travel insurance that covers cancellation (see section 6).
A supplier may occasionally modify schedules, accommodation or activities for reasons outside our control. In these cases, Meridian 33° will make its best effort to offer you an equivalent-quality alternative and will notify you as soon as possible. We are not responsible for changes, delays or cancellations caused directly by the service provider (for example, a flight canceled by the airline).
We strongly recommend — and on some itineraries include — comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, trip interruption, medical emergencies and evacuation. Securing adequate insurance is the traveler's responsibility unless otherwise specified in your quote.
Each traveler is responsible for holding a valid passport (with the minimum validity required by each country), the corresponding visas, and complying with the health or vaccination requirements in force at each destination. Meridian 33° can provide general guidance on this, but is not responsible for entry denials, missed flights, or other consequences arising from incomplete or expired documentation.
Meridian 33° acts as an intermediary between you and independent travel service suppliers (airlines, hotels, lodges, ground operators, restaurants and activity providers). We do not own or directly operate these services and, absent proven negligence on our part, are not liable for acts, omissions, breaches, injuries, damages or losses caused by such independent suppliers. Each supplier is subject to its own terms and conditions, which may apply in addition to these Terms.
Neither party will be liable for failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including — without limitation — natural disasters, pandemics or public health emergencies, war or armed conflict, acts of terrorism, strikes, border closures or government-imposed travel restrictions. In these cases, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule or adjust the itinerary as far as possible, subject to each supplier's policies.
